2025 Milwaukee Symposium

Concussion In Sport Group Symposium

CISG has partnered with the Sports Neuropsychology Society (SNS) to host our first Clinical and Educational Symposium, which is independent and apart from the quadrennial International Consensus Conference and will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 30th and May 1st , 2025 at the Pfister Hotel. This unique joint meeting will feature two related but separate educational experiences for showcasing clinical advances and research (e.g., poster sessions, brief podium presentations, invited speaker presentations/workshops, panel discussions, etc.). Continuing education credits will be available, and there will be opportunities to meet and network with like- minded clinicians and researchers from around the world in a casual collegial setting.

The Concussion in Sport Group (CISG) invites submissions of scientific abstracts for presentation at our Symposium, to be held on April 30-May 1 of 2025 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. We welcome submissions on all topics relevant to sport concussion research and practice. We are particularly interested in abstracts focusing on:
- Biomarkers (imaging and blood)
- Persisting symptoms and treatment
- Pediatric concussion
- Underrepresented populations
- Para Athletes
- SCAT® Tools
A few meritorious abstracts will be selected for brief podium presentations and a panel discussion, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase innovative research to experts in the field. Posters will be presented during dedicated sessions designed to foster interaction and in-depth discussion between presenters and attendees.
Submission Guidelines: We are accepting structured abstracts that use the following subheadings: Purpose, Method, Results, and Conclusion. Abstracts must be original, not previously published, and cannot exceed 250 words. Please submit your abstracts here: https://redcap.link/CISG2025Abstracts. Submissions must be uploaded by 02/25/2025. Feel free to contact CISG poster chair Dr. Jared Bruce with questions (brucejm@umkc.edu).
